Avéli® delivers a long-term reduction in the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks and thighs for a wide variety of women covering the full spectrum of cellulite complexity.
Cellulite is a depression of any shape or size with a defined edge that is seen on the surface of the skin, typically on the buttocks or thighs. Cellulite is not laxity (the loss of elasticity in skin), nor is it poor skin quality, nor fat. A major underlying cause of cellulite are the “septa” or fibrous bands that tether the skin to the structures below. Some septa are good and they are important as connective tethers, but some stiffen and shrink over time and lead to the dimples on the surface that we call cellulite.
Revelle Aesthetics has introduced Avéli—an FDA–cleared device for long-term reduction in the appearance of cellulite on the buttocks and thighs as demonstrated through one year of observation. Avéli is the first and only cellulite device that allows a provider to identify and release culprit septa on the buttocks and thighs in a single visit with real-time confirmation of release.
Avéli delivers meaningful, lasting reduction in cellulite after a single in-office procedure for a variety of women across the spectrum of cellulite complexity. Avéli treats the septa bands causing cellulite dimples. It is not a procedure that addresses other concerns often seen alongside cellulite, such as laxity or localized pockets of fat.
“Septa” – the fibrous bands that tether the skin to the muscle below – are the primary structural cause of cellulite. Septa are often depicted as a singular, perpendicular band underneath a cellulite dimple, pulling down on the surface of the skin. The opposite is actually true – they are complex 3D, honeycomblike structures of fibrous bands.
What makes them difficult to treat and why other treatments haven’t fully delivered, is the fact that they are much more complex than previously thought, can vary in the way they are structured, and can differ in each woman and in different parts of the body.
These anatomical insights led to the development of Avéli® – an innovative device that enables physicians to identify the precise septa structures causing a dimple and release them in a very precise, targeted and verifiable way, leading to durable results.
Avéli is a ‘no nonsense,’ precise, and lasting approach to addressing cellulite based on a deep understanding of the underlying anatomy of cellulite.
Many other cellulite products and treatments approach cellulite from the outside-in, making it difficult to target and release the problem septa and make a substantial impact on the appearance of cellulite.
Avéli addresses cellulite from the inside-out, delivering longterm results. It is the only minimally invasive procedure where Dr. Nguyen can identify which of the septa under the skin are the culprits causing the dimple, and confirm that they are releasing those targeted septa. This allows Dr. Nguyen to confirm in real-time that they treated what they intended to treat.
Dr. Nguyen guides the Avéli device under the skin directly to the targeted cellulite dimples. They can precisely identify the culprit septa, and then feel and confirm in real-time that they are releasing those septa, delivering visibly smoother skin. It’s just the right amount of invasive to produce meaningful results.
Avéli® is FDA-cleared for long-term reduction in the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks and thigh areas of adult females as supported by clinical data demonstrating treatment benefits through one year of observation.
The most common side effects reported were mild pain within the first 24 hours and bruising and tenderness to the touch which typically resolved within 30 days. Some patients returned to normal activities within one day of the procedure and most within a week. As with any medical procedure, there are risks associated with the procedure. Consult with your physician for full safety information.
These are just a few commonly asked questions about Avéli. If you have specific concerns or questions, it's best to discuss them with Dr. Nguyen during a consultation.

If you are looking for long-term reduction in cellulite dimples from a single, minimally invasive in-office procedure, Avéli® could be for you!
Avéli® is a procedure that treats the septa bands causing cellulite dimples. It is not a procedure that addresses other concerns often seen alongside cellulite, such as laxity or fat pockets.
Avéli® is designed to be a single, in-office procedure. During the procedure, Dr. Nguyen can fully treat the targeted cellulite dimples on both your buttocks and thighs.
A typical Avéli® procedure will take around an hour, including local anesthesia and the procedure itself. Exact timing will vary depending on your personalized procedure plan.
Little to none. In the clinical study, most patients returned to normal activities within 24-48 hours.
In the clinical study, the most common side effects reported were mild pain within the first 24 hours and bruising and tenderness to the touch which typically resolved within 30 days. Small areas of firmness, usually not visible or painful, typically resolved in a couple of months.
The results of your Avéli® procedure should be visible once swelling and bruising subsides. By one month post-procedure you should start to see the effects of the procedure.
It is recommended to avoid any strenuous activities or workouts in the first few days/weeks after the procedure to allow the area to heal. Be sure to ask Dr. Nguyen for his complete post-procedure care recommendations.
Avéli® is FDA-cleared for long-term reduction in the appearance of cellulite in the buttocks and thigh areas of adult females. Patients in the clinical study demonstrated a reduction in the appearance of their cellulite when assessed one year after the procedure.
